The Camp Site

I read 52 books. This was short of my goal of 65 but I did finish some series I wanted to get caught up on. I’m not hung up on falling short of this goal. I don’t do audiobooks, so all of this was in visual form. Considering I’m a slower reader, I’m ok with this number.

I wrote 16 short stories, two of which were picked up for publication and one that was a winner in the Writer’s Digest Short Story Awards. I am pretty proud of this number. Most of these were flash pieces for various contests and I had a lot of fun writing them.

I also wrote over thirteen thousand words for a novel. This number could be higher but considering the number of other pieces I produced, I’m not too upset about this.

Overall, I wrote more than I ever have before, and I read about the same number of books. I’m looking forward to a productive 2026.
